State Team Info

 

Selection Process for the 2009 CT State Team

 

Connecticut residents will accumulate points over a two year period.  Selection will be based on a two year point total equaling the sum of 25% of the player’s earned points for 2008 and 75% of the player’s earned points for 2009.

 

CT Women’s Open and State Amateur

 Points will be awarded to the top 10 CT players and the medalist as follows:

USGA Events (Amateur; Mid-Am; Public Links; Senior; Junior; Open)

Points will be awarded to CT players and the medalist as follows:

Site Qualifying is considered the first round of the event.  A player earns the points for the highest level reached.  Local and Sectional qualifiers are considered separate events.  For each level of match play that the player advances, she will receive 50 points.

 

 

The selection of the State Team will use this point system as a guideline.  Additional intangible factors will also be part of the selection process including, but not limited to:

 

·         Participation and results in Connecticut events

·         Sportsmanship

·         Scores Posted
