In order to meet newspaper deadlines and to ensure tournament results are reported in the next day’s papers, the Public Relations coordinator MUST receive your information by 6 p.m. on the day of the event!

Public Relations Guidelines for Tournaments

Prior to the tournament, contact the public relations coordinator via e-mail or phone to ensure a plan is in place to receive, by 5pm the day of a major tournament and by end of the day for any other tournament, tournaments results and notify the appropriate local papers.
After the tournament field is set, send a copy of the player roster (individuals, or teams & player names, as well as club and hometown, and also including tee times) as soon as possible to the PR coordinator, Lisa Fern-Boros, and to the website coordinator, Debbie Johnson. It is preferable that roster is submitted using the Tournament Setup & Results template.
SAME DAY OF TOURNAMENT: at the end of each day of the tournament, send results to the Public Relations coordinator, Lisa Fern-Boros, and to the website coordinator, Debbie Johnson via e-mail (by 5 pm for majors). Please use the Tournament Setup & Results template or the TPP scoring format and include individual or team names, home course, home town, scores, prizes, and skill contest winners:

PICTURES: Pictures will be taken at the Major tournaments and at Invitationals as often as possible. All pictures will be posted on the SNEWGA web site. If you take pictures at any tournament, please send them to the Public Relations coordinator, Lisa Fern-Boros, electronically, for posting on the SNEWGA web site.
